Developers in South Florida are catering to the increasing demand from buyers for super-sized condos. Other luxury real estate buyers are purchasing multiple preconstruction units and turning them into one large space.
The Mansions at Acqualina in Sunny Isles Beach features condominiums starting at 4,600 square feet. Penthouses at the lavish development range in size from 9,000 square feet to 12,000 square feet and top out at 55 million dollars. Marina Palms Yacht Club and Residences offers 20 condos in the north tower that have 20 percent more space than the development's other units. Known as the "Perfect Ten" line, the residences feature 2,600 square feet and range in price from 1.5 million dollars to 2 million dollars.
