Warren Buffett and Donald Trump See a Housing Market Comeback Coming Soon

The Seaside Group at Douglas Elliman, Inc. has had better sales this summer than they have during the seasonal months. Luxury Oceanfront Condos at The Palms, Bellaria and in Miami have been record breaking.   

Warren Buffett, chief executive officer of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., said in a recent interview on Bloomberg Television that he thinks we will see the housing market rebound. He mentioned it could take a few years, but it will happen.

Miami Beach’s Canyon Ranch Living sold eight luxury oceanfront penthouse units two hours after they came on the market. South Florida luxury waterfront condos are appealing for so many reasons. Waking up to a view of the ocean is paradise to most people.

Donald Trump, chairman and president of Trump Organization is very confident about the housing market in South Florida. Trump leases 277 acres of land where he operates the Trump International Golf  Club in West Palm Beach. An article by The Palm Beach Post said that Trump is considering buying the land from Palm Beach County. Trump said he would probably build new villas and a hotel on the land.

“I think it is a very positive thing,” Trump said. “It would be a great economic development site. We would do something really, really spectacular on it.”

Trump recently said this is a good time to buy because housing prices will be going up especially in South Florida. It looks like he’s taking his own advice.
