With all the new luxury condominium developments set to rise in South Florida, it comes as no surprise that residential construction in the area continues to show increases. Construction data for July and 2013 both show sustained strength in the residential sector.
South Florida residential contracts during July rose to 352 million dollars, a 52 percent increase from the same period last year. Year-to-date data shows a similar trend. Thus far in 2013, South Florida has signed construction permits adding up to 2.2 billion dollars, up 45 percent from last year’s 1.5 billion dollars.
