Like Miami, Broward County home sales have been extremely active. The county saw a double-digit increase in the median price of single-family homes and condos in June, on a year-over-year basis. Single-family home sales also increased, despite the continuing property shortage.
Last month, the median price of single-family homes jumped 23.2 percent, compared to June of last year. Similarly, the median price of condos and townhouses increased 22.2 percent. Sales of single-family homes rose 3.4 percent, while inventory continued to decrease.
Due to the widespread property shortage, homes and condos spent less time on the market and sellers received closer to their asking prices.
