With its pristine beaches and bustling social scene, Miami has long been considered one of the most desirable places to live. However, the work environment in the city is now emerging as one of the best, as well. Miami was recently named the happiest city to work in by CareerBliss. The study analyzed key factors that create and foster positive work environments, and Miami came out on top in 2016. Jersey City, NJ and Mountain View, CA took the 2nd and 3rd spots, respectively.
“Miami’s growing technology scene alongside some of the world’s best beaches is in a position to become a major technology hub,” CareerBliss CEO Heidi Golledge stated.
The study specifically evaluated factors that affect happiness at work. These include the relationship between an employee's boss and co-workers, the work environment, job resources, job compensation, job growth, company culture, company reputation and the job control over the work done on a daily basis. The data accounts for how each employee values each factor, as well as how important that factor is to the employee's overall happiness.
