The Faena District in Miami Beach has been completed just in time for Art Basel 2016. The much-anticipated district is comprised of the Faena Miami Beach Hotel, Faena House and Faena Forum. The grand opening of the 1.2 billion-dollar project was marked by a parade.
Alan Faena assembled an elite team of collaborators to create an exciting new destination for cultural activity and leisure. The Faena Forum was designed by Priztker Prize-winning architect Rem Koolhaas and OMA and “is destined to become one of America’s most coveted event destinations for the world’s creative elite.” The Faena District parking complex, also by Rem Koolhaas and OMA, is one of the most unique robotic parking structures in the world. Next door to the Faena District, the Atlantic Princess will become a 4-story retail center.
The 18-story Faena House includes 42 ultra-exclusive residences wrapped with spacious balconies, or “aleros”. Faena House was the first element of the Faena District and has captivated buyers ever since its conception. The ultra-exclusive condo development has quickly become one of Miami Beach's most prestigious addresses.
