据“华尔街日报”报道，千禧一代正在向社交媒体分享他们的首次购房，并张贴精心准备的照片拍摄庆祝他们的成就。这包括一些买家聘请摄影师拍下他们的假舞蹈或在他们的新家里玩耍摆姿势的照片。其他千禧一代的买家甚至会在95度的天气下穿上毛衣和深色牛仔裤，以达到正确的视觉美感。
一位被“华尔街日报”采访的摄影记者指出，她被要求修改照片，使其更加视觉愉悦。例如，数字地将草地添加到蓬乱的草坪上。摄影师无形中也可以增强邻居的财产，给邻居留下更好的印象。
根据全国房地产经纪人协会的报告，从2015年7月到2016年6月，36岁以下的人（被称为千禧一代）是最大的购房者。他们占了近百分之三十四的购买量。据报道，大约三分之二的买家也是首次购房者。
