Plans Submitted for Palazzo Di Acqualina

An affiliate of The Trump Group has submitted plans to construct another Acqualina-branded development in Sunny Isles Beach. If successful, Palazzo Di Acqualina will be built at 17901 Collins Avenue, just north of Acqualina and Mansions at Acqualina.


Palazzo Di Acqualina will rise 649 feet on a 5.6-acre lot. The oceanfront development will contain 190 luxury condominiums. Trump is employing the same architect responsible for the design of the other two Aqualina towers.

“The property's location is spectacular, and its value is superior to that of almost any high-end luxury property in the world,” Kevin O'Grady, the senior managing director of Cohen Financial stated in a press release.


One Thousand Museum will soar 62 stories over Biscayne Bay and contain 83 luxury condos ranging in size from 4,600 square feet to over 10,000 square feet. The exclusive development will feature a sprawling indoor aquatic center and sky lounge, a rooftop helipad, a full-service spa, custom scenting and more. 1000 Museum is scheduled for completion in 2018.

SkyRise Miami Approved

August 27, 2014

SkyRise Miami will be constructed on land behind Bayside Marketplace in downtown Miami. Voters overwhelmingly approved the 1,000-foot oberservation tower and tourist attraction during the elections on Tuesday.


Developer Jeff Berkowitz is allowed to begin site work and construction on the hairpin-shaped tower immediately, with completion scheduled for the first half of 2018. SkyRise Miami, which Berkowitz has called Miami's Eiffel Tower, will include observation decks, a high-end restaurant, a ballroom and high-altitude attractions. 


New construction in downtown Miami is booming. Site work recently commenced at Zaha Hadid's One Thousand Museum condo tower. Other coming attractions include the Brickell City Centre and Miami Worldcenter.

Home Sales and Prices in Broward County Increased in June

The real estate market in Broward County continued to see growth in June. Both home prices and sales in the county increased.


The median price of an existing single-family home increased 5.7 percent in June from the previous year. Home sales in Broward County rose 5.4 percent in June on a year-over-year basis. Sales were up 6.3 percent from May.


The median condo price jumped 23.8 percent in June from the previous year and 3.1 percent from the previous month. Broward condo sales rose 10.1 percent in June on a year-over-year basis.

A Jeff Koons sculpture owned by the residents of Oceana Bal Harbour is on loan for a world tour through the Whitney Museum in New York City, Centre Pompidou in Paris, Guggenheim in Bilbao and MALBA in Buenos Aires. The “Pluto and Proserpina” sculpture will then be on permanent display at Oceana Bal Harbour. It marks the first time a work of art owned by residents of a condo development has embarked on a world exhibition tour.


Jeff Koons, the most expensive living artist at auction, created two sculptures for Oceana Bal Harbour. Along with “Pluto and Proserpina”, “Ballerina” will also adorn the luxury building’s breathtaking 5-story breezeway.

Florida is the Top State for International Real Estate Buyers

Florida is once again the top state for international real estate sales. An impressive 23 percent of foreign buyers in the United State bought in Florida over a 12-month period ending in March, according to the National Association of Realtors.


Nationally, international sales of American real estate increased 35 percent compared to the previous year. Chinese buyers were the most active, with a commanding 24 percent of total foreign sales. Foreign buyers continue to be attracted to economic stability, appealing prices and solid investment opportunities in the United States.


In Florida, Europeans accounted for 28 percent of real estate sales, and Latin Americans made of 26 percent of the market. Asian buyers only accounted for 8 percent of transactions. However, Chinese buyers are increasingly showing interest in luxury condos and houses in the state.
